You only have one life to live
Only have your heart to give
Everything else is borrowed
You’ll die alone, like me, like them
Laid to rest, in a cardboard coffin
Selfish setup, personal asset items stored
Life lost, people slain, disadvantage ignored
Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jag
Prestige amounting to nothing when natural disaster had
Outdated governing and business ways
Failing economies, criminal culture displays
Everything else is borrowed
Commodities, commercial markets, power exchange
Twin Towers fallen — life for death rearranged
Drugs, junkies, leather, tatts and lace
Bikies, goth, suits, piercings — style or bad taste
Same sex couples, pregnant teens
Families, gangs and religious groups surviving
Harmonic global connection
Love’s conscious co-creation — mixed race and culture thriving
Everything else is borrowed
Not the love
Not the harm
Everything else is borrowed
On death row, firing squad to meet
Headlines atop pages, face plastered on TV
Whether you left the planet starving
Or making a corporate deal
How you leave others feeling
Is all that is real
Mindful decisions ease heartache and pain
Quality time shared with lover, child, and mate
Fun spreading riches
Fix damage done
Validation of hurt, caused by wrong
Ignite another’s passion
Their desire to chase
Lives filled with purpose
Contentment stained
Talk at your funeral
Precious moments recalled
What you did for another
What won’t be anymore
Slid into furnace, pushed into flame
Dropped into hole, earth swells to rain
Eyes turned downward, flooded with tears
Throats choked, remembering years
Alive gripping money and items for life
To the grave without children, husband or wife

The artwork reflects themes of impermanence, legacy, and the scale of human experience. A fracture of gold light crosses a deep red horizon, symbolising the moment where permanence dissolves and meaning is revealed through what we leave behind. The piece is intentionally minimal and theatrical, echoing the orchestral arrangement of this expression and the reflective tone of the lyrics. Subtle structure and restrained colour form the visual language: deep red, black depth, and gold highlights representing time, memory, and consequence. At its centre in a variation of the design, sits the DM insignia — a quiet seal of authorship and continuity across the body of work. Designed as both music artwork and philosophical visual statement.
