Originally written in 2018, this song was preceded by an acrylic painting created by Dianne pre 2008, and was recorded in 2026.
Some works take years to fully reveal their purpose.
Love Divine began not as a song, but as a painting.
The original artwork depicted a solitary figure illuminated from within — a quiet expression of inner strength, protection, truth, and courage. At the time it was created, its meaning was personal, intuitive, and complete in itself.
Years later, its presence returned in musical form.
The song emerged as a reflection on unconditional love — not as something external, but as something recognised within ourselves and reflected through others.
The lyrics speak to the moment when perception shifts from separation to recognition, when fear gives way to acceptance, and when the light we search for becomes visible in ordinary human experience.
Because the song exists in more than one emotional register, three musical arrangements were created.
The reflective version preserves the contemplative stillness of the original painting, holding space for introspection and quiet awareness.
The pop version presents the same source through a more contemporary and accessible frame, allowing the message to reach outward while remaining anchored in its origin. The third version expresses through a worship lens.
All versions share the same foundation — the same painting, the same moment of illumination — expressed through different emotional lenses.
The artwork accompanying the release is drawn directly from the original acrylic painting created by Dianne Mead and remains central to the identity of the song.
Love Divine is recognition, as opposed to a conclusion.
A reminder that the light we seek has always been present.
